During the past 25 years Dr. Kleindienst has provided services for children with special needs in the Inland Empire. He has worked in a variety of settings including public and nonpublic schools, residential, and in-home programs. Dr. Kleindienst has been a proponent of Applied Behavior Analysis since the early 80’s. He has an expertise in the areas of emotional and behavior challenges, autism spectrum disorders, developmental delays, and other learning disabilities. He is committed to providing high quality assessments and behavior intervention plans for children with academic and behavior needs.
Richard Kleindienst, Ph.D. is a Licensed Educational Psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst. He earned his PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from Kansas State University in 1984 and his MS in Counseling at California State University, Fullerton. In 1995 he was among the first area educators trained in the implementation of the Hughes Bill and conducting Functional Assessments in the school setting. Dr. Kleindienst’s background in education, psychology, and applied behavior analysis makes him uniquely qualified to address the issues our children face.
Academic and Behavior Change (ABC) services are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABC offers assessment, behavioral interventions, consultation and training services to address the needs of children and young adults. ASSET program services are designed to assist the young adult to transition effectively to post secondary education and employment opportunities.
